Apple iPad 4 is all set to conquer the world

March 31, 2014

The year 2012 is about to end, but for the technology giants Microsoft and Apple it’s the time for providing their fans and consumers with the latest technology enabled devices to make this year memorable. Just a few days before the official launch of Microsoft Windows 8, for which the world was waiting desperately, Apple has revealed a new iPad variant i.e., Apple iPad with Retina display.

The Apple iPad with Retina display is also being termed as the 4th Generation iPad, and some people call it iPad 4 as it replaces the Apple iPad 3, which was released in the month of March in 2012. Though people are eagerly waiting for November 2, 2012, which is the official date of release for the fourth generation iPad, but some people are fuming too, as it has only been 7-8 months since Apple iPad 3 went on sale, and are also seeking an answer from Apple Inc. on what made it release the new iPad variant in such as short span of time and why did it discontinue with the 3rd version.

According to some industry experts there are two primary reasons that may have triggered the discontinuation of the iPad 3, and release of iPad 4. First of all, the sales of the 3rd generation iPad were not as high as anticipated. Secondly, the latest iPad Mini, which resembles iPad 3, would have also affected its sales figure. But now let’s move back on to the more exciting iPad 4, which is full of brilliant features.

The Display Screen

The new iPad version has got a sparkling 9.7-inch LED-backlit, diagonal, Multi-Touch display with In-Plane Switching technology, which is 9.5 inches long and 7.31 inches wide. The display screen has been coated with oleophobic, which makes it fingerprint resistant. The screen displays crystal clear images at a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels, and you can easily see things displayed on the screen from wide angles. Moreover, its Retina display technology makes everything-be it colors, snapshots, videos and texts appear more vibrant, crisp and sharper than before.

High on Performance

To boost its performance in comparison with the previous versions, Apple has introduced a Dual-core A6X processor, which comes with quad-core graphics. With this innovative gadget, the manufacturer has also tried to play with some of its basic features and introduced the Lightning interface, which can be seen on the iPhone 5.

Introduction of New Technology

Another new feature that makes it different is the Lightning connector, which replaces the 30-pin port and is similar to the one used in Apple iPhone 5. The best part about it is the connector chord that can be inserted from either ways. Moreover, the wireless connectivity is also one amongst those aspects, which have witnessed the upgrading. Now Apple has utilized the dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi technology, which uses the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for less meddling with other devices, and it doesn’t lose any range too. And, as the new iPad 4 can use both the channels in one go, users can access the internet at a maximum speed of up to 150Mbps.

Common Features

Amongst the common features, which were also present in iPad 3, are the 5MP iSight Camera, which comes with technologies such as auto focus, face detection, backside illumination, five-element lens, hybrid IR filter and a fl2.4 aperture. The FaceTime HD camera is also the same and lets you shoot HD videos at a resolution of 720 pixels. However, with the rear snapper, you can catch your best and the most memorable moments in a 1080p HD video.

An offer you would never want to miss!

Apple is globally known for introducing new technologies, but one of its stores would now be known for its generosity also. For people who have bought the Apple iPad 3 in the last 30 days, and are unhappy with iPad 4’s release as the date comes nearer, according to Cnet.com, one of Apple’s stores in San Francisco, has introduced an offer to get their existing iPad 3 exchanged with iPad 4, but there should be no signs of wear and tear on the previous one.
